Machine & Grind is a small gear site with one strong opinion and a lot of footnotes. The opinion is about grinders. The footnotes are so you do not have to trust us.
We write about home espresso machines, grinders, and the small accessories that make them behave. The site runs on one rule: buy the grinder before the machine. A decent grinder on a cheap machine beats an expensive machine on a blade grinder. The long version lives on Grinder First.
How we work
- No fake testing. We have not tested every machine, and we never claim to. When a page says it is based on specs, owner reports, and price, that is exactly what it is based on.
- Specs from the source. Numbers come from manufacturer product pages and manuals, linked at the bottom of each page.
- Owner reports, attributed. When we mention what owners report, we link the public thread we read.
- Prices as bands. Prices move. We give a range and a “check current price” link instead of a number that is wrong by Tuesday.
- No star ratings. We would rather tell you who should skip something.
